Starlink has announced an increase in its pricing structure for residential and roaming packages, with hikes ranging from $5 to $10 per month. The new pricing, which reflects a monthly starting cost of $10, is now visible on the company's updated website in the US. Notably, the Starlink Residential Max plan will see its price rise to $130 per month, while the Roam Unlimited plan will now cost $175.
Previously available options for customers to purchase hardware outright have been removed, with the company shifting to a monthly payment model for its services. The cost of the Residential plans has increased, affecting various tiers, including the 100 Mbps plan now priced at $55 and the 200 Mbps plan at $85. The Roam 300GB plan remains unchanged at $80 per month.
Starlink attributes these changes to an expansion in coverage and increasing demand for its satellite services, which have been adopted by major companies such as United Airlines and T-Mobile. Customers can still purchase a Starlink Mini satellite for $199, which allows for flexibility in mobile use.
