LinkedIn has appointed Daniel Shapero as its new CEO, marking a significant leadership change after six years. Shapero, previously the chief operating officer since 2021, will now oversee day-to-day operations of the social network, which recently reported over $5 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time, positioning it for an annual run rate exceeding $20 billion.
Ryan Roslansky, who has served as CEO since 2020 and tripled the company's revenue during his tenure, will continue as executive vice president, overseeing both LinkedIn and Microsoft Office. He announced the leadership transition on LinkedIn, also revealing that Mohak Shroff will assume the new role of president of platforms and digital work.
Shapero's journey at LinkedIn began in 2008, and he has played various roles across sales and operations. He expressed his commitment to learning in his new position, while Roslansky highlighted the importance of adapting to the rapid changes in the labor market driven by AI technology.
