Inteum has appointed Angus Norton as its CEO, a significant move for the Kirkland-based company specializing in IP management for technology transfer offices at universities. Norton brings extensive experience from his previous roles at Microsoft and Amazon, where he worked on products like Office and Bing, and led enterprise SaaS applications.
Norton’s leadership at Inteum aims to bridge the gap between research institutions and the private sector, facilitating the transition of innovations into practical applications. He previously ran Bodhi Venture Labs for over five years, focusing on product management and marketing strategies.
In other executive changes, Rashmi Garde has been named chief legal officer at Veeam, a data protection firm that moved its headquarters from Columbus, Ohio, to Kirkland last year. Garde, who has a strong legal background from companies like VMware and Informatica, played a key role in navigating Informatica’s major acquisition by Salesforce.
Additionally, Megan Fouty has joined mpathic as chief operating officer. The Seattle startup focuses on AI tools that mitigate harmful behaviors in sensitive applications. Fouty’s previous experience includes leadership roles at Tin Can and Glowforge, alongside her initiative, Diversity University, dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion.
