Emergent, an Indian startup focused on AI-driven "vibe-coding," has secured $70 million in its Series B funding, just four months after raising $23 million in Series A. The latest round, which values the company at $300 million, was co-led by SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2 and Khosla Ventures, with participation from Prosus, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and others.
Within seven months of its launch, Emergent has raised a total of $100 million. The startup claims to have achieved $50 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and boasts over 5 million users across more than 190 countries. Emergent aims to surpass $100 million in ARR by April 2026.
Emergent’s platform allows users, particularly entrepreneurs and small businesses, to design and launch web and mobile applications without extensive programming knowledge. The company is headquartered in San Francisco but employs most of its staff in Bengaluru, where it is actively hiring across various roles. Founder Mukund Jha noted strong demand in key markets including the U.S., Europe, and India.
