Cocoa Press, the innovative startup known for its consumer 3D printer that creates edible chocolate, has recently appointed David Randolph as CEO. Randolph, who has a decade of experience in 3D printing, previously served as the leader of Printed Solid, where he expanded the company significantly. His expertise is expected to play a crucial role in advancing Cocoa Press’s mission to popularize 3D chocolate printing.
Founded by Ellie Rose, Cocoa Press has been evolving since its inception in 2023. The company gained traction last year when Rose acquired Print Kits from Alien3D, enhancing its offerings in the 3D printing market. Recently, Rose expanded her team by hiring Matt Stultz as COO and Caleb Kraft as Box Manager, both of whom bring extensive backgrounds in the industry.
With Randolph at the helm, Rose aims to shift her focus towards developing new products while maintaining her role as founder and CTO. Cocoa Press has a history of collaboration with Randolph, who previously helped replicate the company’s signature colors in PETG for 3D printing applications. The leadership changes are part of a strategy to grow both Cocoa Press and Print Kits into recognized brands in the maker community.
