President Trump is set to embark on a trip to China starting May 12, with more than a dozen prominent business leaders joining him. Among those confirmed is Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, marking a significant presence for the tech industry during this diplomatic visit.
The delegation also includes executives such as Elon Musk of Tesla, Larry Fink from BlackRock, and David Solomon of Goldman Sachs, with the trip aimed at fostering business relations. Notably, Chuck Robbins, the CEO of Cisco, was initially listed but later withdrew.
Cook's participation comes after a previous absence during a trip to the UAE last year, which reportedly upset Trump. His attendance this time may help mitigate tensions and reinforce Apple’s commitment to engaging with policymakers globally.
