Neil Lindsay will leave his position as senior vice president of Amazon Health Services on July 1, concluding a 15-year career with the company. Doug Herrington, CEO of Amazon’s Worldwide Stores, acknowledged Lindsay's leadership in developing various healthcare divisions, including Amazon Pharmacy and Health AI, into significant services for millions of customers.
Dr. Roy Schoenberg, the founder of the telehealth platform Amwell, will succeed Lindsay. He has experience as CEO and president at Amwell, which collaborates with major healthcare systems and insurers. Lindsay will advise Amazon through the end of the year and plans to engage in personal projects thereafter.
In other leadership changes, Hugo Sarrazin has been appointed as the new CEO of tax software company Avalara, taking over from co-founder Scott McFarlane. Sarrazin previously led Udemy and will guide Avalara from its North Carolina headquarters.
Meanwhile, Nancy Xiao has moved to OpenAI's Consumer Devices team, relocating to San Francisco from Seattle after her role at Meta, where she focused on VR product development. Her transition comes amid significant layoffs at Meta.
