The latest beta update of the popular bootable USB drive creation tool, Rufus, introduces several enhanced features aimed at improving the installation process for Windows 11. This update, now in version 4.13, allows users to streamline the installation by disabling various Microsoft bloatware, including Teams, Outlook, and Copilot, before the operating system is set up.
Notably, the new “Silent” mode enables an unattended installation experience, allowing the installation media to progress without user interaction. This function is designed to swiftly install Windows 11 without prompts, provided that no additional internal storage drives are connected. Furthermore, Rufus now supports the creation of local offline accounts, circumventing Microsoft’s requirement for an online account during setup.
In addition to these capabilities, users can also disable BitLocker and customize their installation media with new tooltips for enhanced usability. The update includes improvements for Bazzite support and fixes related to Windows to Go, continuing Rufus's reputation as a versatile tool for Windows installations.
