Apple is set to introduce a refined version of macOS, dubbed macOS 27, aimed at enhancing the Liquid Glass design language. Scheduled for unveiling during the WWDC developer conference on June 8, this update will focus on correcting issues related to transparency and shadows that have drawn user complaints regarding readability within the Tahoe user interface.
Reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the forthcoming changes are expected to address perceived shortcomings in the previous version, which lacked a complete implementation of the design team’s vision. Users who have raised concerns about contrast while using Tahoe apps may find the revisions more to their liking, although those opposed to the overall design concept may remain dissatisfied.
In addition to visual enhancements, macOS 27 will prioritize software reliability and efficiency, with anticipated improvements in performance and battery life. The update will also incorporate a revamped Siri featuring chatbot capabilities, enhanced by advancements in Apple’s artificial intelligence platform, and will unify the Siri and Spotlight Search functionalities.
