Apple has released the second beta of its upcoming iOS 27, bringing significant updates to developers as part of its preparation for a fall launch. The latest iteration enhances existing features, particularly those related to Siri, which were initially highlighted at the WWDC 2026 event.
Among the most notable changes is the introduction of a new feature called Write with Siri, which replaces the previous AI-powered Writing Tools prompt on iPhones and iPads. This feature adds a large prompt above the keyboard that transitions to just the Siri icon once users start typing.
Additionally, improvements to RCS communications within the Messages app allow for enhanced message reactions and inline replies, further integrating communication between Apple and non-Apple devices. Other enhancements in the beta include better iPhone Mirroring in macOS Golden Gate and firmware updates for AirPods Max 2. As developers test the new beta, further details are expected to emerge ahead of the official release.
