Google announced significant performance enhancements for its Chrome browser, achieving a new record Speedometer 3.1 score of 61 on an M5 MacBook Pro with macOS 26.0.1. This represents a 5% increase compared to benchmarks from the previous year. The latest results reflect improvements in web application responsiveness, as measured by the Speedometer benchmark, which evaluates various aspects of the Blink rendering engine.
Additionally, in the JetStream 3 benchmark, Chrome recorded a score of 469 points on the same device, marking a 10% improvement since earlier tests conducted at the beginning of the year.
