AppManager has released its latest version, 3.0.0, which focuses on bug fixes and translation improvements, enhancing its overall performance. This update, described as "Going mainstream" by developer kem-a, aims to increase the app's reliability and user experience.
Functioning as a desktop utility developed in Vala using GTK/Libadwaita, AppManager simplifies the installation and uninstallation of AppImages. Supporting both SquashFS and DwarFS formats, it provides features such as background auto-updates and zsync delta updates for efficient data usage.
Users can install applications easily with a macOS-style drag-and-drop interface, where double-clicking any AppImage opens a window that allows for simple installation. Following its announcement on the Linux subreddit, AppManager has already received additional minor updates to address remaining issues.
