By the close of 2025, Google Chrome is projected to hold a commanding 70% of the browser market. In an effort to enhance user experience, Google plans to expedite its update cycle for the browser, promising to release new versions more frequently than before.
A significant addition for mobile users is the introduction of a bookmarks bar on Android devices. Previously exclusive to desktop, this feature will now allow users on larger-screen devices, such as tablets and foldables, to easily access their favorite websites. The update is available with Chrome version 146, and users can enable the bookmarks bar through the Appearance settings.
This enhancement aims to streamline the browsing experience, allowing for quicker access to frequently used bookmarks without navigating through multiple menus. Long-pressing a bookmark will also reveal the full website address, making it a substantial improvement for daily users.
