A new investment initiative named The Artists Collective has been established to support early-stage technology startups. This fund, which emerged from stealth mode today, is backed by a notable team featuring individuals such as Daniel Kaluuya, Jack Whitehall, and Maya Jama, among others.
The fund has already made investments in 20 tech companies, collaborating with notable venture firms like Andreessen Horowitz, Accel, and Seedcamp. It was co-founded by Fergus and Ruari Bell, who are also behind the athlete-focused Players Fund. The Artists Collective primarily aims to invest in startups at seed to Series A stages across various sectors including AI, cybersecurity, fintech, health tech, and media.
Investment amounts range from £50,000 to £300,000, focusing on opportunities in the UK and Europe. Ruari Bell emphasized the collective's mission to provide a supportive environment for artists to invest and collaborate effectively, aiming to replicate the success seen with athletes in The Players Fund.
