Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has launched a new startup, Dazzle AI, which has secured $8 million in funding. The funding round values the company at $35 million post-money, as announced in a press release on December 23, 2025. Dazzle AI's mission is to enhance the usability of artificial intelligence, making it more intuitive for users.
The startup plans to utilize the investment to grow its workforce and is preparing to unveil its inaugural product in the coming months. Mayer emphasized the significance of leveraging foundational AI models to provide tangible value through innovative applications. She expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with a talented group of investors.
Previously, Mayer founded Sunshine, aimed at improving technology usage, but has since closed that venture to focus on Dazzle AI. Her experience includes a lengthy tenure at Google, and she currently serves on the boards of several major companies, including Starbucks and Walmart.
