Lionsgate has announced that its extensive collection of films will now be integrated into Movies Anywhere, a digital movie locker service. Starting in June, 225 prominent titles from the studio will become available, with plans to add around 100 more films each month until early 2027.
Currently, Movies Anywhere boasts 14.5 million users and will see its library grow to nearly 10,000 digital movies thanks to this new partnership. Participating retailers include Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play, among others. Notable Lionsgate films like John Wick and The Hunger Games are already showing the Movies Anywhere badge on platforms like Fandango at Home, although they have not yet appeared in the Movies Anywhere catalog.
This expansion marks a significant development for consumers who purchase digital movies or redeem codes, aiming to provide a seamless viewing experience across multiple platforms. Previously, Movies Anywhere had included films from several major studios but had not added any new studios since 2017.
