Yunyan Wang has taken on the role of chief technology officer at Chewy, a prominent online pet retailer, after over 12 years at Amazon. In her previous position at the tech giant, she was vice president of Commerce & Supply Chain Services, where she contributed significantly to enhancing customer access to various fulfillment services.
Chewy’s CEO, Sumit Singh, praised Wang’s experience in driving innovation, emphasizing her fit for the company's mission to serve pet owners and partners effectively. Wang's extensive background includes serving as a technical advisor to Jeff Wilke, Amazon’s first CEO of Worldwide Consumer, and beginning her career as a software engineer at Microsoft.
In other corporate leadership changes, Smartsheet appointed Josh Schauer as its new chief financial officer, following a series of executive transitions. Schauer, who previously held the CFO position at insightsoftware, will focus on revenue generation and strategic investments from his remote base in Minneapolis.
Additionally, NetApp has announced Alvaro Celis as chief partner and ecosystem officer. Celis, who has over three decades of experience at Microsoft, will lead the World Partner Organization and aim to strengthen customer relationships through technology and expertise collaboration.
