The number of operational Kith Café outlets has dwindled significantly from a high of 10 to just two in recent months. The West Coast location, managed by franchisee Andy Lim, was among the latest to close its doors on January 5, 2026, following the earlier shutdown of the Millenia Walk branch in October 2025.
Andy Lim, who invested S$140,000 from his savings to open the franchise, reported losses between S$70,000 and S$90,000 during his tenure. Although the West Coast outlet showed signs of improvement between September and December 2025, ultimately, Lim decided to cease operations for personal reasons, as stated by Kith Café founder Jane Hia.
Hia indicated that the closures were primarily due to a decline in customer traffic. The brand, which began in 2009, is now contemplating a refresh of its café concept to better adapt to the evolving market. The café's design, influenced by Hia's background in design, features unique layouts and furniture aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
