At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services and Health, was honored with the 2026 Entertainment Person of the Year award. This recognition was previously announced last month by Simon Cook, CEO of Cannes Lions, who praised Cue for his innovative contributions to entertainment and storytelling.
During the festival's opening ceremony, Cue accepted the accolade shortly after delivering a keynote address alongside renowned producer Jerry Bruckheimer. In his speech, Cue emphasized Apple's commitment to excellence and storytelling, highlighting the platform's mission to support the best creators in the industry.
Additionally, Apple's press release noted Cue's pivotal role in developing a robust entertainment ecosystem that includes Apple TV, Apple Music, and more. Under his leadership, Apple TV has evolved into a leading streaming service known for its award-winning content. Cue and Bruckheimer also hinted at plans for a sequel to the popular F1 film, expressing enthusiasm for future projects.
