Deliveroo will discontinue its services in Singapore after March 4, 2024, marking its exit from the market. The company made the announcement on its website on February 25, detailing plans for an orderly wind-down process. This decision follows a comprehensive review of operational conditions in various countries.
Launched in November 2015, Deliveroo's exit is part of a wider reassessment of its international presence. The parent company, DoorDash, also revealed plans to stop operations in Qatar, Japan, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, DoorDash is making strategic investments in engineering roles within the United Kingdom.
In a statement, Deliveroo expressed its commitment to assist local teams, customers, and riders during this transition. DoorDash acquired Deliveroo in May 2025 for approximately US$3.85 billion, aiming to enhance its competitive edge in the European market against rivals like Just Eat and Uber Eats.
