Cyera, a data security startup based in New York, has successfully raised $400 million in its Series F funding round, achieving a valuation of $9 billion. This latest funding brings the total amount raised by the company to over $1.7 billion, highlighting significant investor confidence.
The funding round, which follows a previous raise of $540 million just six months ago, was spearheaded by Blackstone's managed funds and included contributions from notable investors like Accel, Sequoia, and Lightspeed. Cyera specializes in data security posture management, assisting organizations in locating sensitive data across various cloud environments and databases while addressing security risks.
In the past year, Cyera's revenue has more than tripled, partly due to the growing impact of AI on data management and security concerns. As a result, the startup has attracted approximately one-fifth of Fortune 500 companies as clients, driving the demand for its services and the eagerness of investors to participate in its growth.
