Apple Original Films has confirmed that actor Brian Tyree Henry will be part of the cast for the upcoming feature film titled Running. This film is directed by Gavin O’Connor and follows a homeless high school running prodigy, portrayed by Spike Fearn, as he strives to escape his troubled past and seek a sense of family.
Henry, a nominee for Academy, Emmy, and Tony Awards, has previously collaborated with Apple on projects like Causeway, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and Dope Thief, which garnered him an Emmy nomination. This marks his third project with Apple.
While the movie's production timeline remains unspecified, it has been reported that Bill Dubuque, known for his work on The Accountant 2, is writing the screenplay. Apple TV, which features popular shows and films, is available for $12.99 per month.
