In its 2025 Year in Review, Cloudflare reported a 19% increase in global internet traffic, with notable growth beginning in August. The company also observed that Starlink traffic doubled in the same year, fueled by expansion into over 20 new regions.
Apple secured the third position in Cloudflare's Internet Services ranking, surpassing TikTok early in the year. The ranking, based on global DNS data, saw Apple trade places with Microsoft around July, but it maintained its third spot until the end of the year. TikTok finished in 10th place amidst regulatory challenges.
Additionally, mobile device traffic statistics revealed that iOS accounted for 35% of global mobile traffic, which reflects a slight year-over-year increase, while Android devices dominated with a 65% share. Notably, 27 countries reported over 90% of their mobile traffic from Android.
