Fans of Formula 1 will soon have the chance to experience live races in a new format, as Apple collaborates with IMAX to broadcast five races from the 2026 season at select theaters across the United States. The races include the Miami Grand Prix on May 3, the Monaco Grand Prix on June 7, the British Grand Prix on July 5, the Italian Grand Prix on September 6, and the United States Grand Prix on October 25.
This partnership follows Apple’s acquisition of a five-year deal for US broadcast rights to Formula 1, which was established last fall. In addition to live race broadcasts, there is already a dedicated channel on Apple TV for the racing series. Apple also secured rights for a feature film about Formula 1, which has grossed over $630 million globally, including earnings from IMAX screenings.
The financial details regarding IMAX's involvement in future live screenings remain undisclosed, but this initiative aims to enhance the viewing experience for fans who seek an immersive alternative to attending races in person.
