This holiday season, Apple has successfully raised a total of $3 million for The Global Fund through a promotional campaign. From November 28 to December 7, the company donated $5 for each transaction made via Apple Pay on its online platforms and retail locations in the United States and other participating countries.
The funds will support initiatives against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria in developing nations. Apple has a long history of collaboration with The Global Fund, having contributed over $250 million over a partnership spanning 19 years. This effort is part of Apple's ongoing commitment to health-related causes, particularly in December, coinciding with World AIDS Day.
While Apple has not released any new products in the (PRODUCT)RED line since the iPhone 14 launch in 2022, its donations through this campaign highlight the company's dedication to fundraising for critical health programs.
