Anthropic has achieved a valuation of approximately $1.14 trillion following a successful $65 billion Series H funding round, surpassing OpenAI to become the highest-valued AI firm among private startups in Silicon Valley. The recent valuation marks a significant increase from an estimated $380 billion in February.
The funding round attracted major investors such as Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, along with a prior commitment of $5 billion from Amazon. Anthropic's growth is largely attributed to its popular AI products, including the Claude AI assistant and the Claude Code service, which have seen substantial demand among developers, contributing to an annual revenue increase from about $10 billion last year to $47 billion now.
