Amazon customers can now return items at over 1,500 FedEx Office locations, expanding a network that includes more than 10,000 drop-off points across the United States. This development follows the end of Amazon's logistics partnership with FedEx in 2019, as the company has since developed its own delivery system.
Recently, a return experience at a FedEx Office in Seattle highlighted the ease of this new option. A user brought a microchip pet door to the location on NW 46th Street, where the process involved simply scanning a QR code and handing over the item, resulting in a same-day refund.
Despite the convenience, the visit raised questions about the lack of additional services available at FedEx Office for customers, who may not find other needs to fulfill during their visit. In contrast, competing return locations like Kohl’s and Whole Foods often provide extra benefits, which were absent during this return experience.
