New laptops featuring Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon X2 Elite chips are set for launch during CES 2026 next week. The Snapdragon X Elite has already made significant strides in enhancing battery life without compromising performance, and the upcoming X2 Elite promises even more, with Qualcomm projecting a 75% increase in CPU performance and a doubling of GPU efficiency per watt.
Lenovo is expected to introduce several models, including the Yoga Slim 7x, IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Slim 5x during the event. The Yoga Slim 7x is anticipated to be the flagship offering, equipped with an 18-core variant of the X2 Elite and boasting a 2.8K OLED display alongside 29 hours of battery life, priced around $950. While not all models will utilize the Elite chip, it is likely that more manufacturers will showcase devices powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite at the show.
