This fall, Apple will release watchOS 27, featuring significant upgrades to its Siri functionality. The new version incorporates AI capabilities, allowing users to engage with Siri through natural language and context-aware interactions with apps. Notably, users can revisit previous discussions with Siri directly within applications and switch between devices seamlessly.
A major addition to the update is a revamped Health app, which offers support for perimenopause and menopause. Users tracking their menstrual cycles will receive insights and educational resources if irregularities are detected. Other enhancements include the Workout Buddy app, now operable without an iPhone connection and supporting Spanish language users.
Additionally, watchOS 27 introduces a new tap gesture for navigation, allowing users to activate the Smart Stack feature with a simple pinch of their fingers. This gesture builds upon a similar feature launched in 2023. Overall, while some improvements focus on performance and reliability, the update brings an array of new user-friendly features.
