A recent update for the Plex app has addressed various user concerns affecting both Android and iPhone devices. Among the fixes, significant improvements were made to the “Manage Favorite Channels” functionality, resolving issues that caused the app to crash when accessing this feature in Live TV. Users had expressed frustration over these persistent problems on forums, with one noting that the update is a hopeful step towards a more stable experience.
In addition to fixing the favorite channels issue, the update enhanced the design and consistency of text inputs across devices, correcting misalignments that had been troubling users. Other fixes noted in the release include improvements to push notifications, the server-unavailable screen, and the on-screen keyboard. Furthermore, users will now experience better performance when applying filters on the browse screen.
Another crucial fix resolves the problem of folders not opening on Android devices, a concern that had been raised by multiple users, with some reporting similar issues on iOS. Although this fix was not highlighted in the release notes, it was confirmed by a Plex employee in response to community inquiries.
