Android 17 has entered its beta phase for compatible Pixel devices, enabling users to install it immediately. This version is available for all Tensor-powered smartphones, including models from the Pixel 6 series up to the latest Pixel 10 devices.
To opt in for the beta, users must visit google.com/android/beta and select their device linked to the same Google account. Compatible devices include the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, and others. Following the opt-in, users can check for updates on their devices, typically available within minutes to an hour.
This beta release will mark the final major Android OS update for the Pixel 6 series, which will cease updates by October 2026. Additionally, the upcoming Pixel 10a, set to launch next week, is expected to receive support for Android 17 Beta shortly after.
