OmniOutliner 6 has officially launched after a brief beta testing phase, featuring significant enhancements aimed at improving the outlining experience for users. This release marks the integration of the application with Apple’s latest operating systems: macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26, and iPadOS 26, showcasing a refreshed design with Liquid Glass elements.
The new version is now a universal app, allowing seamless functionality across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro devices. One notable feature is Omni Links, which enables users to connect documents through user-defined folders, including options for local storage and popular cloud services like Dropbox and Google Drive. This feature enhances cross-device usability, making it easier to manage files and web links.
Additionally, OmniOutliner 6 addresses previous Dark Mode issues, offering users the ability to sync the app’s appearance with system settings and customize their light or dark themes. The introduction of Dynamic Themes further enhances visibility, adapting the app and its templates in accordance with the system’s light/dark mode transitions. This version also provides fully customizable templates, reinforcing its cross-platform functionality.
