Previously, NotebookLM introduced Audio Overviews, allowing users to convert their notebook sources into podcasts, which proved to be a game-changer in the industry. The new Cinematic Video Overviews builds on this concept, moving beyond simple slideshows to deliver dynamic visuals and animations that narrate the content in a more captivating manner.
This rollout comes shortly after the introduction of Video Overviews at I/O 2025, which facilitated the creation of narrated explainer videos from notebook sources. The latest feature utilizes advanced technologies, including Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3, to produce engaging content with fluid animations and detailed visuals tailored to the user’s interests.
