Apple is set to transition to a new unified email domain, private.icloud.com, for its Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email services. This change will replace the previous domains, privaterelay.appleid.com and icloud.com, for issuing new email addresses. Users with existing addresses on the old domains will not experience disruptions, as those will continue to function normally.
Developers and email service providers must prepare for this update by adjusting their systems accordingly. They are advised to ensure that their email validation processes recognize the new domain and to modify any filters or rules that reference the old domains. While Apple has not specified an exact launch date, the rollout is expected to occur “later this summer.”
The announcement was made in a recent post on Apple's Developer blog, where the company provided guidance for developers on the necessary adjustments to accommodate the new domain.
