Another outage is affecting Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook and Teams, just a day after a previous disruption. Users are experiencing difficulties with multiple applications as reports of the outage have surged on Downdetector. While Microsoft has acknowledged the issue, details on their service health status page are still pending.
The company indicated that the problem stemmed from a routing configuration issue related to a third-party ISP. Microsoft reported that actions have been taken to resolve the disruption affecting various services, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, although local document editing appears unaffected.
This incident follows a recent nationwide service interruption by Verizon, which impacted cellular and internet services. In contrast, users of Yahoo Mail and AOL faced downtime earlier today, but those issues have since been resolved. As Microsoft works on a fix, it highlights the importance of maintaining local backups for critical data.
