Apple has introduced the first developer betas for its upcoming software updates, including macOS 26.5, iOS 26.5, and iPadOS 26.5. The company also released macOS Sonoma 14.8.6 (Build 23J507) and macOS Sequoia 15.7.6 (Build 24G707) today. These new builds follow last week's launch of macOS Sonoma 14.8.5 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.5, which addressed 60 vulnerabilities across the systems, including critical security issues that could potentially grant apps root access.
As there were no prior beta versions before this release candidate rollout, it is anticipated that these updates could be made available to the public in the near future. Although Apple has not yet shared the release notes for the latest macOS updates, further information is expected soon.
