Lettera, a new Markdown editor for macOS, has been launched in beta, allowing users to create and manage documents efficiently. This app was developed by the creators of Bear 2.0, which saw its release two years prior, introducing substantial features like Markdown syntax hiding and support for extensions.
In response to user demand for a standalone version of the editor used in Bear, Lettera enables writers, researchers, and developers to work seamlessly with Markdown files and folders. It supports a variety of formatting options including tables, lists, and rich styles, while also adhering to the CommonMark standard.
Currently, users can test Lettera via TestFlight and are encouraged to provide feedback to enhance the app further. The application supports various export formats including PDF and ePub, facilitating easy sharing of written content.
