Apple’s upcoming software release, iOS 27, is anticipated to focus on enhancing performance and stability rather than introducing numerous new features. Set to be unveiled at WWDC26 in less than two months, the update will reportedly include significant improvements in battery life alongside modest customization options.
One of the key features under consideration is a new toggle for the home screen that facilitates quick undo and redo actions. This functionality will be integrated into the existing customization menu, which currently allows users to adjust widgets and themes. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the addition aims to simplify the process of making adjustments to icon and widget layouts.
Currently, users can access four options when long-pressing the home screen, but with the newly proposed buttons, they can easily revert or restore changes they make. Furthermore, a new Liquid Glass slider is expected to offer enhanced visual customization options beyond what is available with the current settings.
