Apple's upcoming software update, iOS 26.3, is expected to be released for all users on January 26, following a historical pattern of launches. Previous updates, such as iOS 18.3 and iOS 17.3, were also released in late January, typically one week after Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The first beta of iOS 26.3 introduced minor updates, including changes to the wallpaper settings, a new Android transfer option, and notification forwarding capabilities for users in the EU. The wallpaper section now features a dedicated area for Weather, separating it from Astronomy.
The Android transfer setting, a result of collaboration between Apple and Google, aims to simplify the transition for users switching from iPhones to Android devices. Additionally, notification forwarding will soon be available for non-Apple Watch devices in the EU, expanding the functionality of Apple's notification system to third-party wearables.
