Apple has recorded significant growth in the adoption rates of its latest operating systems. The company revealed updated statistics this week, based on data from devices that interacted with the App Store on June 7, 2026. Among iPhones introduced within the last four years, 86% are using iOS 26, while 11% are on iOS 18, and 3% run earlier versions. For all compatible iPhones, 79% are running iOS 26, with 14% on iOS 18.
On the iPad side, 79% of devices launched in the last four years are utilizing iPadOS 26, while 16% operate on iPadOS 18. Among all iPads that support iPadOS 26, 68% are using the latest version. Compared to figures from February, adoption rates for iOS 26 increased by 12% for newer iPhones and 13% for all compatible models, while iPadOS 26 saw growth of 13% and 11% respectively.
Despite these numbers, both operating systems continue to lag behind their predecessors by 2% for devices launched in the last four years and 3% overall when compared to data from last June.
