Apple has introduced an enhanced Reminders feature in its latest software update, iOS 26, aimed particularly at travelers during the busy holiday season. This new capability allows users to specify time zones for individual reminders, addressing a common issue faced by those on the go.
The time zone support is inspired by features from Apple’s Calendar app, which has provided robust time zone options for some time. Users can access this new functionality in two ways: reminders will default to the current time zone, but a new Time Zone option becomes available when setting due times. For those traveling frequently, settings can be adjusted to display reminders in a chosen time zone across the app.
To modify the time zone settings, users can navigate to the Settings app, then to Apps and Reminders, where they can select the desired time zone. By enabling the ‘Set Manually’ option, a new time zone icon will appear within the Reminders app, simplifying the process of viewing and changing time zones without reopening settings.
