The rollout of Android 16 QPR3 for Google Pixel devices commenced today, featuring significant enhancements to user interface animations and customization options. A notable addition is a revamped folder animation that introduces a "Hitchcock zoom" effect, creating a more dynamic experience when expanding app folders.
This update also refines the presentation of themed icons, repositioning the options to align with existing icon shape selections. Users can still choose between "default" and "minimal" styles, which are now more accessible during wallpaper customization. Despite these changes, there remain five icon shapes, which unfortunately do not apply in the app drawer.
Android 16 QPR3 is currently being distributed to participants in Google's beta program. Additional features include adjustable flashlight brightness and a blue dot indicator for apps accessing location services, enhancing overall functionality.
