Google Photos is introducing a feature called “Incremental Takeout for Photos,” enhancing the process of exporting images and videos. This new option allows users to schedule exports that only include newly added content, addressing the previous limitation of having to download the entire library at once.
This feature is integrated into Google Takeout, where users can initiate a full initial export of their selected photos and albums. Subsequent exports can be scheduled every two months for a year, and each can contain files up to 50GB. This update aims to reduce time and storage requirements for users managing large libraries of media.
To utilize this functionality, users can select the Photos option within Google Takeout. This change marks a significant improvement for those who wish to keep their backups current without the hassle of large downloads.
