The update for Google Keep on Android introduces a larger floating action button (FAB) as part of its upcoming AI voice feature set for release this summer. Version 5.26.222.00.90 is rolling out today, which includes a new open/close animation and a slight repositioning of the FAB menu on the screen.
The menu now prioritizes “Image” as the first shortcut, followed by a redesigned “Drawing” icon and “Audio.” Users who have not yet seen this update can force stop the app from the App info section.
Additionally, the new voice feature will allow users to create notes using voice commands, converting spontaneous ideas into organized lists with the assistance of Gemini. The feature can generate multiple notes from a single voice session and will be accessible through a standard-sized FAB located above the plus button. This enhancement is set to be available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers alongside updates to Gmail Live and Docs Live.
