The Gemini app is set to enhance its functionality with the introduction of a new "Notebooks" feature, allowing users to create personal knowledge bases that integrate with various Google products. This update aims to facilitate more efficient workflows by providing dedicated spaces for organizing chats and files directly within the app.
Users will find a “Notebooks” section in the Gemini side panel, enabling them to select an “Add to notebook” option for all chats. This feature allows for seamless interaction with the existing prompt tools and enables users to manage sources effectively, including Files, Drive, and websites. Notebooks created in Gemini will also sync with NotebookLM, enhancing the overall user experience.
Initially available to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers on the web, the notebooks feature will expand to mobile users and free accounts in the coming weeks. Future updates are planned to introduce additional functionalities to improve the notebook experience.
