This week, Google introduced a new feature in the Gemini app, an “Answer now” button designed to provide quicker responses. Users of the Pro (Gemini 3 Pro) and Thinking (Gemini 3 Flash) models will notice this button located beside the spinning status indicator. However, this feature is not available for the Fast (Gemini 3 Flash) model.
When activated, the button confirms that Gemini is “Skipping in-depth thinking” and quickly delivers an answer. The app now utilizes the selected model for responses instead of switching to Fast mode. Google clarified that this new functionality replaces the previous “Skip” button.
The update is being rolled out across both free and paid Gemini accounts on Android, iOS, and the web. Additionally, Google has adjusted the usage limits for the Thinking and Pro models. The Gemini app has impressively created over 1 billion Nano Banana Pro images within two months of its release.
