The integration of the Gemini app with Google Contacts introduces features aimed at enhancing user experience by offering personalized insights tied to contact information. Users can now find, add, edit, or delete contacts directly from their Google Contacts through the app, which is accessible under Personal Intelligence > Connected Apps.
This functionality enables actions such as locating contacts by name or email, reminding users of significant dates like birthdays, and suggesting contacts for outreach or VIP status. Examples of commands include inquiries about specific contact details and updates to existing information.
Currently, the integration is being rolled out, with availability noted on select AI Ultra accounts that include Gemini Spark. Google Contacts joins a suite of first-party services already integrated within the app, such as Google Workspace tools and YouTube.
