Users of Google's Gemini app are now beginning to see the introduction of a new feature called “Thinking level,” which is currently undergoing a limited rollout. This new option appears in the model picker when selecting Fast (Gemini 3 Flash) or Gemini 3.1 Pro, providing choices between “Standard” and “Extended,” while the Thinking level is excluded from certain models.
In addition to this feature, the Gemini app is expanding its integration capabilities with third-party applications. Currently, users can connect with platforms such as @GitHub, @OpenStax, @Spotify, and @WhatsApp. Future integrations with @Canva, @Instacart, and @OpenTable are also in development but have not yet been rolled out.
When the integration with Canva is fully implemented, users will be able to create designs directly from Gemini prompts, manage assets, and collaborate on projects seamlessly. Similarly, Gemini users will gain the ability to check grocery availability and add items to their Instacart shopping carts based on specific store preferences.
