Google's Gemini app for macOS will introduce significant features this summer, expanding its functionalities for users. The app, which was first unveiled in April, allows subscribers to Google AI Ultra, priced at $100 per month, to access Gemini Spark in beta starting next week across Android, iOS, and web platforms.
Gemini Spark functions as a personal AI assistant capable of managing tasks within Gmail, Docs, and other applications, and it can also work with third-party services. Users will benefit from enhanced capabilities, including local file management and workflow automation on their desktops. A new voice interface will enable users to speak freely without interruptions, automatically converting their speech into well-structured drafts.
During a presentation, Google demonstrated the ease of selecting files in Finder and dictating emails that directly populate a Gmail compose window. This feature is designed to streamline the user's digital experience, utilizing context from open windows and facilitating efficient communication.
