A bug affecting the Gemini app has led to the rollback of several features for Android users in both stable and beta channels. Notably, users can no longer upload NotebookLM notebooks via the 'plus' menu in the prompt box, which has reverted to a side-by-side pill design. The "Temporary chat" button has also been removed, along with the "Import memory to Gemini" option from the profile menu.
Despite these changes, the Gemini website remains functional, providing an effective mobile and Progressive Web App experience. Additionally, the interface has undergone other modifications, including a shift from a black to a gray background and changes to the appearance of suggested action pills.
Interestingly, the Android overlay has reverted to its previous design, lacking full access to the Tools menu, and the fullscreen glow feature has been disabled. Google is expected to implement a server-side fix soon to restore the missing features.
